#DecolonIzationInAfrica






  • INTRODUCTION



Decolonization is the system where a nation establishes and maintain its domination over dependent territories. white people were practicing apartheid in south Africa and they introduced Bantu education for black people. black and white school were separated. this will be very negatively to the public relation practitioner because black were given irrelevant education which is less important and not accurate information, since their job is to give both internal and external stakeholder timely,relevant and accurate information , they were less teachers and most of the teacher were unqualified which led black people to work under hush environment such mining and farming.


BACKGROUND OF DECOLONIZATION
South Africa was practicing apartheid, where black people were treated unfairly like animals and where they were experiencing lack of freedom in work place, school and in the public as well. south Africa was colonized by European country which is Holland, the were controlling everything in south Africa and introduce new rules such as Bantu education, blacks were forced to live in separate area with whites,use separate public facilities and racial segregation. the opposite organisations together with other countries fought against the system of apartheid until Botha resign as president and the de klerk took over. SA were suffering some suctions , and then they together try to introduced democracy in 1990. negotiation were conducted until 1994 where the democracy was introduced and everyone in south Africa was free

 This hashtag can be very useful to the student doing history at school and people who are interested on knowing the history of south Africa.in term of cooperating in social media it will be difficult for black people because it will remind them of bad things that happen to their people and it will encourage racism. the Public relation practitioner should engage with social media and give timely,accurate and relevant information to help the various public.





  • ADVANTAGES    

-spread coverage because this can help to spread information to the various public and both internal and external stakeholders as the number of people using internet increase every moment, with different people blogging themselves. people can can often visit the blog and easy  share the post and online journalists. this can help to spread information and wider coverage which will help to reach the specific audience


-increased communication: with social media is easy for public relation practitioner to communicate with people and share different ideas about xenophobia, every day people can post their thought on how they see xenophobia and this can allow them to ask PRP to ask and answer questions about xenophobia, by this blog a PRP can build an active relation with the reader who are interested on xenophobia. by building this relationship can lead readies to share and comment on your link

  • DISADVANTAGE


-bad Publicity: using social media on decolonization can disadvantage the  Public Relation Practitioner in terms of bad publicity because people can think that it promote racism, because it remind black people how the suffer during the time of apartheid. it will be difficult for media and journalist to publish the story story to the various public since it will affect some of the people in the country

-inaccurate information or storytelling :  Public relation practitioner are the one who distribute press release and address the various public and the information must fall in the hand of journalist who may take it as accurate information or not. and if the story is accurate this can disadvantage the organisation because the story will mislead the various public. the inaccurate information can damage and ruin the reputation of the organisation and brand. story about decolonization is not worthy to the democratic government because it will bring back the huge fight between black and white people, since white people took many things which belong to black people. so this can cause huge rivals on social media

-Create social campaigns to encourage both stakeholders

INTRODUTION

Xenophobia is a dislike of or prejudice against people from other countries. the various public learn different things from social media and the use it to express their own feelings. The findings and analysis of the posts provided Jones with clear lessons in how social media was linked to xenophobia on the streets as well as in how to help moderate the conversation.

BACKGROUND OF XENOPHOBIA

between march and April south African people started to xenophobic attacks in kwaZulu-natal in 2015, seven people from outside our country were killer about 4000 people were injured because of mistreated and violence they were given by south Africans. between march and may the violence took place in other provinces such as Johannesburg. business were no longer working,home wrecked,and and many foreigners were forced to go back to thier own countries  and the were saying foreigners were changing the south African society by selling bodies and drugs.

ADVANTAGES

Easy integration: this can help the public relation practitioner to spread information to the target audience or various people,because most of people are use to social media and the have capability to use it. the PRP can use media tools to spread information about xenophobia and alert people, the PRP will appear loyal to the various public

Sharing links: people will visit the blog to comment and share links in a way of giving accurate information and the PRP will gain loyalty and trust to the journalist. PRP can use different social media such as Facebook,twitter and LinkedIn to communicate with both stakeholders internal and external
-easy communication

-Use of social media can encourage other countries to fight for foreigners
-rise the image of the organisation
-sharing different ideas and using other people's thought

DISADVANTAGES 

-reputation: social media can easily ruin the reputation of the public reputation when posting about xenophobia, because people will think is a way of promoting violence and xenophobia as well
-Need publicity: journalist and media release can easily lose interest on Public relation practitioner because the will think of promoting inaccurate information
-Haking: people can steal and use the account of PRP and post negative thought this can damage the image of the organisation

RECOMMENDATION

The public relation practitioner should adopt healthy life style of posting accurate,timely and news worth information about the brand,organisation and clients. this can result very positive because it will help him or her to understand the specific audience and the the organisation will react the object of spreading information to the various public
- the PRP must frequently comment on the blog to remain as the though leader
-visit other people's blog to get much better information
-do not take side when you're addressing or telling the story
-the public relation practitioner must manage and plan the project 
-give people the accurate,timely and new worthy information
